Current site behaviour
TVL Health uses an essential session cookie and loads Google Analytics on public pages. The site does not currently provide a separate cookie preference centre, so browser controls are the direct way to block or delete optional identifiers.
Essential session cookie
TVL Health uses a PHP session cookie to keep requests associated with the same browser session. It supports sign-in state, account security and CSRF tokens that protect forms from cross-site submission.
This cookie is necessary for protected account and form functions. Blocking it can prevent login, registration, profile tools and the contact form from operating correctly.
Purpose
Security, authentication and continuity between requests.
Typical duration
Configured as a session cookie, generally ending when the browser session ends, subject to browser behaviour.
Google Analytics on public pages
Public TVL Health pages load Google Analytics after the page load. The site requests IP anonymisation in its analytics configuration. Google may process device, page-view, referral and interaction information and may use cookies or similar identifiers depending on browser and provider settings.
We use aggregate audience information to understand which pages are read, identify navigation or performance issues and improve the publication. Google’s own terms and privacy practices govern its processing as a service provider.
Links, embeds and third-party features
An article may link to or embed material from another organisation. Social networks, video services, messaging platforms or advertisers may set identifiers when you open or interact with their services.
TVL Health does not control a third party’s cookie duration or reuse. Opening an external service is subject to that provider’s settings and policy.
How to control cookies
- Use browser privacy settings to view, block or delete cookies for this site.
- Block third-party cookies or tracking protection where your browser provides that option.
- Use a private browsing mode for a session with reduced retained browser data.
- Review device and Google account controls that may affect analytics or advertising identifiers.
Deleting or blocking the essential session cookie signs you out and may cause protected forms to reject a submission.
Browser privacy signals
Browsers and extensions may send signals such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Because implementation and legal requirements vary, the site may not respond uniformly to every signal. Browser-level blocking remains the most immediate technical control.
Where applicable law requires a particular response to a recognised signal, we aim to handle that requirement as the service and our tools allow.
Changes and questions
We will update this page if we materially change cookie categories or add a consent or preference tool. The date at the top identifies the current version.
For a cookie or analytics question, choose “Privacy request” on the contact form and include the browser, page and approximate time involved.
